Whether for horizontal evenness or paving with an elevation on one side: the slope sensor allows the transverse profile to be determined accurately during paving, and paved precisely.
The transverse slope of the screed is measured by a fluid-filled sensor similar to a spirit level. The screed position serves as the reference. To guarantee precision measurement results under all job site conditions, the leveling beam is shock-mounted. Its measurement accuracy is ± 0.05%.
The slope sensor can easily be used in combination with any grade sensor up to a maximum pave width of 21 ft 4 in (6.5 m). The grade measured on one side of the screed together with the transverse slope delivers consistent paving results, true to line and level, across the full pave width.
Two sensors for measuring grade and slope can be connected simultaneously to the VÖGELE system for automated grade and slope control. During paving, users can combine the slope sensor with any connected grade sensor on the left or right with no need for any conversion or time-consuming plugging and unplugging. This opens up a variety of options for scanning references.
